In addition to teaching as an adjunct for LSU-Eunice, University of Phoenix, and South Louisiana Community College for the last 15 years, Ms. Lazare most recently served as the Director of the ECGC Women’s Business Center, which serves the eight-parish Acadiana area. The Center serves both men and women with either a start up initiative or a pre-existing business in any capacity. Prior to the Business Center, Ms. Lazare ran a statewide nonprofit on economics and financial literacy. Ms. Lazare previously worked with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Advancement and Development, serving as a Prospect Researcher. She originally came to the university after working with a defense firm and in the non-profit legal industry, with Lafayette Volunteer Lawyers and Lafayette Parish Bar Association. She received her BA and MA from UL and currently is A.B.D. for a PhD in Management Leadership. Ms. Lazare is a member of Leadership Lafayette Class XX, the recipient of the 2006 National Association of Economic Educators Rookie of the Year, 2006 AFP Chamberlin Scholarship, 2002 International Researcher of the Year Award, and the 2001 Young Professional Scholarship. She is an active member in the community serving on many Boards of Directors and volunteering with the Kiwanis Club of Acadiana.
