Noteworthy
Jerry McGuire received his B.A. from Wesleyan University (English and Linguistics) in 1976, and his Ph.D. from SUNY at Buffalo (English/Poetics) in 1981. He has published his poetry in many periodicals and in three books, The Flagpole Dance, Vulgar Exhibitions, and Venus Transit. His scholarly work includes publications about Shakespeare, literary theory, poetics, pedagogy, postcolonial studies, and film. He co-edited (with Kostas Myrsiades) Order and Partialities: Theory, Pedagogy, and the “Postcolonial.” For further information and curriculum vitae, please check his faculty page on the UL Lafayette Creative Writing Program site.
