Noteworthy
Denise Rogers’ poems have appeared in such magazines as Louisiana Literature, Mid-America Poetry Review, Borderlands: The Texas Poetry Review, Ekphrasis, The Alaska Quarterly Review and Xavier Review. Her poem “Ars Poetica” was a finalist for the Ekphrasis Poetry Contest in 2005, and her poem “Snow Falling on Small Town” won the Louisiana Literature Poetry Prize for 2004. She is a frequent contributor to Interdisciplinary Humanities, the journal of the National Association for Humanities Education. In 2002, she was a recipient of an Artist’s Fellowship from the Louisiana Division of the Arts. Her first book of poems, The Scholar’s Daughter, was published in 2008 by Louisiana Literature Press.
