Starting Wednesday, March 18, the English Department at UL Lafayette will begin remote course delivery to mitigate public health concerns related to COVID-19.

There will be no classes Monday and Tuesday, March 16-17, but campus will remain open, and all University operations and business functions will continue.

All employees, including teaching assistants and student workers, should report to work as usual.

The Writing Center is closed for face-to-face consultations at this time. It would be difficult for us to consult with students and maintain the 6 to 9 foot space between tutor and student in our regular consultation mode.

But our staff will still be able to provide tutoring services in another mode, such as asychronous tutoring or via Skype or Zoom.

To inquire about this service, contact us in one of the following ways:

Email: denise.rogers@louisiana.edu  (Use your University email address; DO NOT SEND ANY DOCUMENTS UNTIL YOU ARE ASKED TO DO SO.)

Phone: 337-442-5224 (Leave us a message with a return phone number and a time when we can reach you.)

Be prepared to check your email frequently if you choose to use our service.

We would appreciate your patience as we shift to this mode of delivery. It is possible that our turnaround times may be as long as 24-48 hours.

Do remember that some students have access to NetTutor.
