UL Student Wins 2017 St. Lawrence Book Award
Thu, 03/01/2018 - 2:47pmCongratulations to Leigh Camacho Rourks, who has won the 2017 St. Lawrence Book Award with her short story collection Moon Trees and Other Orphans.
Rourks, a PhD Candidate in the English Department, adds this prize to a list that already includes the Glenna Luschei Prairie Schooner Award and the Robert Watson Literary Review Prize. Her fiction, poems, and essays have appeared in a number of journals, including Kenyon Review, Prairie Schooner, RHINO, TriQuarterly, December Magazine, and Greensboro Review.
