Admissions

Students who have completed a Bachelor's degree in any subject at any accredited English-speaking institution may apply for admission to the certificate program. Students from non-English-speaking institutions who have a Bachelor's degree in English may also apply. Contact the Graduate School for more information about applying for the certificate program.

Course Requirements

After completing with a grade of B or better the five required courses listed for the MA degree, you will be awarded a certificate stating that you have completed the theoretical training for the degree. Each required course is offered once each year, so it is possible to complete the certificate in 2 semesters of study. Students who excel in their courses may be invited to apply for the M.A. program, after which you can apply the five core certificate courses toward your M.A. degree.
