Linguistics at UL
While studying linguistics at UL, you can select from a broad range of courses, including:

First- and second-language acquisition.
UL’s nationally recognized Computer Science program, the Departments of Psychology, Modern Languages, and Communicative Disorders all offer courses that permit you to pursue a wide variety of interests and applications.
The Lafayette area, with native speakers of Cajun French and varieties of Creole French, provides a rich source of data if you are interested in dialectology, languages in contact, Creole studies, and other sociolinguistic phenomena.
